Karla grew up in Iowa on a dairy farm. She is the youngest of 4, with 3 older brothers. Her love for animals was immediate from the moment she was young. Her parents got frustrated with every animal she would bring in the house to care for.
Karla attended school at Minnesota School of Business and graduated in 2014 with her AAS in Veterinary Technology. She has raised horses, German Shepherds, Siberian Huskies, Springer Spaniel and Pomeranians. Karla moved to the Duluth area in 2021 and started at NSVH last July. She enjoys spending spending time riding horse and playing with her dogs.
