Originally from the Twin Cities, Rachel moved to Duluth to attend UMD. Shortly after relocating, Rachel was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia and took time off from her education to have corrective hip surgeries. When it was time to resume studies, she chose to change directions and pursue a degree in veterinary technology at Duluth Business University and completed her education in 2017.
Rachel & her wife, Jacey, got married on the Superior Hiking Trail in 2020. They have two sweet Springer Spaniels, Isla & Jade, and two quirky kitties, Smokey Joe & Dumplin’. When she isn’t working, Rachel enjoys hiking, camping, quilting and gardening.
